DIY Hand-painted Cookie Jar

This beautiful Cookie Jar Art Kit incorporates an array of translucent alcohol ink colors on the exterior parts of the glass, creating a gorgeous masterpiece that you can admire for years to come.

Some of the biggest challenges to doing art is having a solid idea, testing it to make sure the process works (tweaking and retesting multiple times in some cases), gathering all the supplies, and getting down to the business of doing it. This art kit will seem fun and easy to you, because we made it that way. Behind the scenes, this kit represents hours of our time, untold amounts of money in supplies and testing countless creative process avenues to make this a winning art kit in our eyes, and we do this because we want you to experience the benefits of doing art as we do.

We know, you might be thinking this project requires expert artist skills, or at least a little experience with glass or alcohol inks, but that’s just not the case.  We have carefully broken down the steps into a very manageable process, and we provide all the necessary supplies to make it easy for you to make your own beautiful piece of art. The art of this kit is the way it is put together so that you can do it regardless of your artistic abilities. If you are capable of holding and tilting a cookie jar, you are most likely capable of doing this project, even if you can’t draw a straight line or draw a stick figure (there’s no drawing required with this kit). We provide everything you need to paint your own cookie jar, to keep as a show piece or give away as a gift.

All kits include one glass cookie jar with lid, alcohol inks in the color set of your choosing, blending solution, applicators, disposable apron & gloves and instructions.

Please note: cookie jars are painted only on the outside and are safe to store cookies and other food items. We do not include varnish in this kit, but we do provide recommendations in the kit.

I admit I was a little intimidated at painting a glass candy jar, but I reached out to support and Leann helped me every step of the way. She was right, it wasn’t hard at all and I love how great mine turned out. Special thanks to Leann for all her help!.5 stars for the project and 10 stars for Leann!
