Questions:

Can I melt the soap over the stove?
While this can be done by more experienced soap makers, we do not recommend this method for beginners. The soap can easily coagulate and become unusable if you don’t know what you’re doing. We learned this the hard way, so you don’t have to.

How long does it take for the soap to set?
These soaps are usually hard enough to demold within an hour or two, though we recommend longer times to account for temperature and humidity variations.

Do I have to work with lye?
No, the soap is already soap. You are creating artisan soap bars by adding loofah, color and essential oils for an exfoliating texture as well as a appearance and scent.

Can I use different silicone molds?
Sure, as long as they aren’t too big or too small. Our molds are absolutely perfect, and you can reuse them for any art or food project in the future (soap cleans up nicely ;-).

I never knew making soap could be so easy! The loofah soap wheels smell amazing and look cute in my bathroom. I love that the kit includes wrapping materials with labels and pens so can store them or give away as gifts. Such a thoughtful idea.
